We propose to design the growth of the city from a way of reading the thickness of the territory as an ecosystem based on ecotones with gradients of different intensity. These interweave all the existing dynamics in the sector and propose the different instances of connectivity between the ecological support to the toughest logistics infrastructures. Based on its singularities, critical frictions and areas of intervention are suggested.
These possible frictions, Consolidated grid │ floodable territory, suburban grid │ productive landscape, wetland │ logistics infrastructure, permeable territory │ impermeable territory, among others, share the intention of a project based on ecosystem continuity to increase the intensity of use and deepen the existence of soft limits. Operating in the interaction of this complexity is of primary importance because it contributes to developing sustainable processes over time that put social health and the habitability of their urban environments as their main objective.
