The new central is a practical space designed to respond to the needs of firefighters, it becomes an icon of the city, a memory of the tragedy experienced but also of how the city knew how to rise from its ashes, a building that not only not only the population of San Francisco but the entire world associates with the image of the fire department.
From a social point of view, the site is fully integrated into the city’s skyline, on the southern end of the promenade and with a predominant presence when accessing the city through the San Francisco Bay bridge, the main access road for road traffic to the city. In this sense, the building will not go unnoticed and will be present in the daily lives of thousands of people.
