The project includes the intervention in an existing single-family house located in the neighborhood of El Prado, Montevideo. The starting point is to build a functional and unified interior, where all the interior uses and events of the house can coexist simultaneously.
A new unique social space is defined that proposes a resignification of the interior courtyard and its relationship with the house. Ceaseing to be a courtyard of service, ventilation and light, to be integrated into the large social container in a key of external functional expansion. Two fixed pieces of furniture were also generated that concentrate all the day-to-day operations and accompany the space longitudinally. They connect the social area with the private one, and expand the social area into the inner courtyard.
